One Crazy Wedding with Aleisha & Ryan

I have the best clients. This past weekend was the most fun I ever had shooting a wedding. Finally a group of people just as crazy as I am. Aleisha and Ryan were amazing, it was so cold out and the wedding party was so good dealing with the dropping temperature, I guess the streched Hummer limo from the Gates was packed with "something, something" cause at one point I had no idea what was going on, see below.

A big thank you to you, Aleisha and Ryan! I had a blast!!! :)

Okay, this is where things got a little crazy. The bride was making out with one of the Groom's men, we got guys smacking other guys asses, we have a crazy neck breaking ninja on the left and a sexy asian girl on the right. Good times! I love it!

Aleisha and Ryan (Tomorrow's Wedding)

Another weekend another Rockalious wedding! In case you guys didn't know I'm a Rocktographer now!

Anyway, this is Aleisha and Ryan, I shot their engagement photos just the other day and their wedding is tomorrow! I'm really excited, they're so nice and willing to try anything to make to shot. I feel so badly, I told Aleisha to sit on this ledge not knowing that there was a nail sticking out and when she jumped off it ripped a hole in her jeans and underwear!... she was a good sport and laughed it off.

The whole time we were shooting, there was this guy playing the sax on the rooftop, he was awesome, really set the mood, SEXY!

Anyway, I can't wait to show you the photos from tomorrow wedding. Have a great weekend!

Hawaii Part 3 of 4 (Maui)

Hi Guys,

Finally, part 3, I know I'm sorry I've been crazy busy with everything. Well this is part 3 of my trip. We're in Maui! My second favorite island. Something about Maui is so magical. I love the beautiful beaches and lush vegetation. The people are so nice and accommodating.

The day we got to Maui, there was a freak storm, we drove quickly to the north shore to see some killer wave and watch surfers riding them. If you never heard of "Jaws" and I'm not talking about the fish. Jaws is a name given to a wave which is 50 ft or over. I personally never thought a wave could over helm me so much but there was this one wave that just made my mouth drop... It was Jaws!!! A 50 footer!!! Unfortunately I was in shock to take a picture, what a crappy photographer I am heh? To my disappointment there was not a single surfer out, I asked one of the local and he said "no one is that stupid to go out there" thinking back to all the surfing videos I've watched there's only three or so surfers in the world that would dare such a wave. The waves are just amazing! Anyway, enjoy the photos :)

Behind the Lens of Kampphotography

On the weekend I had 45 mins to spear and decided I wanted to come out and actually shoot a photographer at work, in this case I had two. Jake and Jess from Kamp Photography. I wanted to capture something I've never done before, everybody have seen wedding pictures that we take but never seen the behind the lens of how those images are created.

I got to tell you, it was a lot harder than I thought. I had to be out of the way so they can do their job and not make the couple feel uncomfortable. I hope to be doing this with Trevor Brucki and Coralee Penner (Red Photo Co.) soon. I loved every minute of it. Something totally different and it give me an opportunity to experiment something new with my camera.

You can check out Jake and Jess's blog to view the images they created that day http://www.kampblog.com

Big thanks to Jake and Jess!

Christine and Mick e-shoot

Christine and Mick, this couple has so much in common with Kristine and I. Christine is a nurse at St-B in the labor and delivery department and my Kristine is also a nurse in the same department but at HSC. Mick owns the most amazing Thai restaurant in town "Siam" located at 587 St-Anne's Road. If you like Thai food, go and enjoy, you won't be disappointed. Anyway, I used to own Vi-Ann restaurant. And they're getting marry on June 21st, Kristine and I got marry on June 21st. Christine and Mick are so sweet that they invited Kristine to spend the evening with me at their wedding reception. I have the best clients!

The Engagement shoot, they were so nervous. i don't know why? We had so much fun, Christine was laughing the whole time! I'm not sure if she was laughing at me but regardless we had fun. Can't wait for the wedding!
